Phentermine is used as part of a short-term plan, along with a low calorie diet, for weight reduction. It is used in obese patients who have not been able to lose weight with diet and exercise alone. Phentermine belongs to the group of medicines known as appetite suppressants that will significantly decrease the desire for extra calories, speed up metabolism and increase fat burning.  Recommended dose is 35.7mg per day for 3 months, followed by being off for an equal period of time.  Often patients will switch to 5-Amino 1MQ or the Dynamis Weight Loss Stack I while off phentermine or use in conjunction with Phentermine.  Do not take Phentermine after 3pm or within 6 hours of bed.
